WORLD-CLASS MINIMALLY INVASIVE NEUROSURGERY

Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery is a technique that has been developed for the treatment of spinal conditions. It involves making smaller incisions, which results in reduced blood loss and avoids significant damage to the muscles surrounding the spine. This technique also encourages faster recovery and reduces pain after surgery.

Dr. Scott Kutz focuses his practice on the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, spinal tumors, and other spinal disorders.

SPECIALIZED NEUROSURGERY SERVICES

Also known as MISS, this treatment was developed to treat spine problems without causing a lot of damage to the surrounding muscles and other structures in the spine. Compared to traditional open surgery, where doctors have to make incisions up to 6 inches long and risk infection, Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery only requires small incisions, resulting in less blood loss and shorter recovery time.

This procedure involves removing and replacing worn or damaged disc material between the spine with a synthetic disk to relieve back pain. Artificial disc replacement will still allow patients spinal usage and mobility when combined with other procedures. Artificial disc replacement is not for everyone, however, you owe it to yourself to discuss this as an option with Dr. Kutz.

Most of the time, sacroiliac joint pain can be treated using injection treatments, pain medication, and physical therapy. Surgery is usually not necessary, but when certain symptoms persist for several weeks or months even with nonsurgical treatment, sacroiliac joint fusion may be recommended. Most doctors or back pain specialists will recommend significant trials of nonsurgical methods before advising surgery.
