2002: In December 2002, Woods underwent surgery on his left knee to remove the fluid. The surgery caused him to suspend his sports schedule briefly.

2008: Tiger had two surgeries in 2008, one in April and the second in June. Both surgeries were performed on his left knee to alleviate persistent pain in his knee. After the surgeries, Tiger took a break from active sports to heal.

2010: Towards the middle of 2010, Woods complained of neck pain believed to be caused by a bulging disk. He stated he had been experiencing neck pain for some time. The cause of the pain was later diagnosed to be due to inflamed facet joints.

2011: Tiger Woods withdrew from crucial golf tournaments citing pain in his left knee. He had suffered a minor injury on his left knee during the Masters in March 2011. Owing to his left knee injury, Woods misses several competitions.

2012: Tiger cites the left knee injury as the reason he withdrew from WGC-Cadillac Championship. Notably, despite the injury, Tiger was able to win at Arnold Palmer Invitational.

2013: Tiger Woods asserts that he has been advised to take a break to undergo treatment. However, he confirmed that the suspension would only be a few weeks long, after which he would resume his regular schedule in July.

2014: In the final round during the Honda Classic during the first quarter of 2014, Tiger withdrew, citing back pain as the reason for his withdrawal.

In the same year, Tiger missed Masters and mentioned that he had undergone back surgery. However, after the surgery, Tiger continued to experience back pain.

2015: Tiger cites back injury as he withdraws from Farmers Insurance Open during the opening round.

In September 2015, Tiger underwent second back surgery. Tiger Woods back surgeon removed the disc to relieve his pressure nerve. In October 2015, Tiger underwent a follow-up surgery.

For complete recovery, he was advised to take a break. However, Tiger was still hopeful that he would recover and return to action.

2016: Tiger missed most golf events until Sept 2016, when he announced he would participate in the Safeway competition. However, he withdrew from the tournament, citing that although his health was good, his game was vulnerable.

2017: Tiger missed withdrew or missed most of the golf events citing persistent back spasm. For instance, he withdrew from Omega Dubai Desert Classic at the end of the first round. Also, he did not compete in major tournaments such as Genesis Open, Arnold Palmer Invitational, and Honda Classic.

In April 2017, he announced he had a successful back surgery to alleviate back pain. The surgery involved the removal of the damaged disc and relieving of pressure on his nerve.

2019: After participating in several tournaments pain-free in 2018, Tiger said that his lower back was fine. However, he announced that he had had neck pain which forced him to withdraw from API. He had been receiving treatment without much improvement.

Later in the year, Tiger underwent minor surgery to correct a slight problem in his left knee.

2021: After experiencing back pain, Tiger underwent his fifth back surgery. He had experienced pain due to a pressurized disc, which necessitated a microdiscectomy procedure.

Although he was recovering well after the back surgery, in February 2021, Woods was involved in a car crash resulting in leg fractures.
